Job Description PURPOSE OF POSITION Under general supervision of Executive Director / Chief Executive Officer (CEO), equivalent or higher, participates in the formulation, development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of plans, policies, methods and procedures, directed towards the improvement and transition of Gotham Health. Resolves special administrative problems pertaining to policy and practice in program planning, operation, analysis, implementation and evaluation within the division. Is responsible for supervising, coordinating and executing the management of multiple departmental projects or a large-scale and complex project focused on improvement or development of health care setting and/or system-wide initiatives in support of its strategic goals. Supports collaborative development with various business teams and drives process improvements for the successful management of the overall project lifecycle, supporting provision of all deliverables from inception to completion. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts and participates in meetings, hearings and conferences as a representative of the CEO.
  • Develops and maintains viable operational procedures within the department and optimal operational support for Corporation programs.
  • Prepares reports, speeches and press releases within the context of departmental objectives.
  • Consult with departmental leadership and other key stakeholders to develop implementation schedules and provides support to the development and implementation of various operational plans and technical / logistical tracking systems to meet operational needs.
  • Ensures that scope of statements, estimates, and contract documents are prepared, in accordance with standards and NYC H+H / Gotham Health operating procedures.
  • Study market dynamics: customer/patient feedback (Press Ganey scores / surveys / social media), clinician feedback, and research customer trends for new business lines.
  • Identify important capital projects, joint ventures, and other strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Ensure strategies are well communicated and translated into actionable and quantitative plans for entities and work units/functions.
  • Collaborate with CEO and Board to ensure strategic plans and goals align with organizational priorities and monitor/measure performance.
  • Identify and convey strategic risks to CEO, Board, and other senior leadership.
  • Communicate / market strategy across departments and organization.
  • Oversee the execution of business initiatives.
  • Develop a partnership portfolio of internal departments, external NYC agencies, and outside approved vendors to achieve long-term innovative goals and best practices.
  • Team with Chief Financial Officer to ensure funding and resources are available to execute initiatives.
  • Implements directives of the Executive Director or designee, reviews and evaluates existing programs, makes recommendations for improvement, modification and provision of general administrative and support services.
  • Audits existing programs and facility operations and applies approved criteria for evaluating programs and operational activities.
  • Minimum Qualifications 1. A Masters Degree from an accredited college or university and seven years of fulltime paid experience of program development in a hospital or health care facility in meeting community health needs, health care planning, financial planning, operations and analysis and implementation, in an administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or, 2. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Management, Health Care Administration or related discipline; and, 3. Eight years of full-time paid experience at the level indicated in (1) above; and, 4. Demonstrated skills in written and medical communications; or, 5. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Department Preferences Requires 5-8 years leadership experience. Successful past experience managing complex change initiatives in a health-care environment required. Comfort with working in a collaborative building environment. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders that have a broad range of experiences and perspectives. Must be a strategic and visionary leader that takes initiative, has the stamina, emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills to operate strategically and effectively oversee the tactics in order to help drive and achieve differentiating business results. Successful track record of innovation and business development. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: •Strong ability to innovatively think and the ability to engage stakeholders to understand / invest in an organization's vision. •Ability to lead highly complex projects to completion and sustainment. •Ability to build trust, confidence, and respect from sr. leadership, building credible relationships across the entirety of NYC Health and Hospitals / Gotham Health sites. •Effectively pivot between strategic development and tactical deployment. •Builds high performing teams. •Ability to research new innovative approaches and solutions to business problems. •Self-directed and able to work independently while remaining a team player. •Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to represent across a wide range of stakeholders.
