OverviewThe Atlantic Council seeks a talented, dynamic, and entrepreneurial professional to join the Development team responsible for fostering robust relationships, spearheading initiatives to achieve revenue goals, and driving strategic foundation partnerships.
The Deputy Director will support development and implementation of a comprehensive foundation fundraising strategy in collaboration with the Director, Foundation Partnerships and the 16 programs and centers to grow new foundation partnerships and to mature existing relationships.
The successful candidate will have experience in fundraising or business development in a dynamic team environment. Specific experience working with foundations in the climate, energy, and sustainability sector is required. Candidate must have excellent proposal development, project management, and communication skills with a solid understanding of foundation relationship management and funding priorities. The ideal candidate will have an interest and experience in international affairs and foreign policy and be able to navigate a fluid, innovative environment with diplomacy and ease.
This position is based in our Washington, DC, headquarters, requiring a minimum of 4 days per week in office. The Atlantic Council offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, education, and organizational equity, with offers from $125,000 to $150,000.
