The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy.Minimum Qualifications The New York State Senate is seeking a self-starter with strong people and project management skills to join the team in the Senate Services Department as a Deputy Director. The most qualified candidates will have:A bachelor's degreeAt least 4 years in a management positionStrong people and project management skillsOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsThe duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform.Duties Description Reporting to and working closely with the Director of Senate Services, the Deputy will be a seasoned leader with the ability to assist with strategic, managerial, and hands-on levels and to help guide the department across programmatic and administrative functions. In this dynamic role, you will:Proactively identify internal opportunities and challenges.Work with the Director to address challenges.Manage special initiatives that relate to department needs.Provide internal oversight of Senate Events, Senate Programs, and Senate Awards.Work with the Director to develop and evaluate department strategies and goals.Additional comments regarding the vacancy.Additional Comments The salary range is $80,000 to $90,000, commensurate with education and experience.
