Job Description:

WEBB is currently seeking a Deputy Director to work in our Traffic & Transportation Department. This position offers a hybrid work schedule. We are looking for enthusiastic leaders who are committed to life-long learning and always expanding their knowledge of their discipline. Associates at WEBB play an active role in the firm's pursuit to reach its goals by not only performing at the top of their game for their specific position but looking at the bigger picture to assist the firm in meeting its business development goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall management of day-to-day business including planning, staffing, and execution of all Transportation projects
  • Supervises and administers the provisions of project services which includes but is not limited to the preparation of man-hour budgets and schedules for projects and their component work packages and the establishment of performance indexes concerning cost and schedule in relation to budget performance
  • Lead by example and sets high standards for creativity and cooperation
  • Responsible for assigning project managers to each project after consultation with the Senior Vice President
  • Ensure proper action is taken to correct off-standard performance and achieve contractual obligations
  • Analyze forward manpower requirements in conjunction with agreed work schedules and prepare and publish short-and long-range manpower requirements
  • Adhere to and follow all firm-wide policies and procedures as they relate to human resources management, project management, financial management, client relations, quality assurance, quality control, and play a role in business development through the quality of work produced to retain and expand client relationships
  • This leadership role is an active member in the professional community and the community at large

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university
  • PE or TE license
  • Honest, reliable, enthusiastic, team player with integrity
  • Technical expert in Traffic & Transportation
  • Knowledgeable in billing and collection of receivables
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills with a focus on thoroughness, schedules, budgets, and deadlines
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and teamwork skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Provide exceptional internal and external client service through strong relationships
  • Strategic problem-solver
  • Ability to work independently, with multiple teams and personalities, with a focus on solutions
