This position, under the direction of the Executive Director, supervises and manages the Regulatory Programs Division.
The position includes but is not limited to being responsible for the leadership and management of the Division, including budget and personnel matters. Reviews and signs permits, orders, variances, notices of completion and incompletion, and non-jurisdictional determinations per the NYS Adirondack Park Agency Act and associated regulations. Acts as liaison for Agency with local, regional, State and federal agencies and Agency Board members on regulatory matters. Oversees development of guidelines relating to project review and makes recommendations for regulatory changes.
Salary range: $123,793-$156,224 based on education and experience.

The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) was created in 1971 by the New York State Legislature to develop long-range land use plans for both public and private lands within the boundary of the Park.
The APA is a New York State governmental agency with an eleven-member board, and a 54-person staff. The Board meets monthly to act on Park policy issues and permit applications. Board meetings take place the second Thursday and Friday of each month and are open to the public.
