Headquartered in Walnut Creek, California, the Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) manages Contra Costa County's transportation sales tax program and oversees transportation planning efforts. With a staff of 27 people managing a multi-billion-dollar suite of projects and programs, CCTA is responsible for planning, funding, and delivering transportation infrastructure projects and programs throughout the county. Additionally, CCTA owns and operates GoMentum Station, the largest secured autonomous vehicle testing facility in the country, positioning the agency as a leader in transportation innovation. CCTA is seeking a Deputy Executive Director, Projects and Operations to be responsible for the successful delivery of CCTA's capital improvement program including implementation of projects identified in the Expenditure Plan as well as other projects funded from grant or other outside sources. This includes overseeing planning, design, management, and performance of major infrastructure and innovative mobility projects, as well as leading the Authority's expansion into digital traffic management and operational oversight. Click here to view the recruitment brochure. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position will be $240,933 - $325,270 depending on experience and qualifications. CCTA provides an annual adjustment based on the Consumer Price Index and regularly performs compensation studies to ensure compensation rates remain competitive. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. A demonstrated understanding of State and Federal transportation funding and planning processes is required.
