The employee dually reports to the Director of Learning and Development and the Title IX Coordinator. The employee's work will complement the existing learning and development strategy while assisting in matters related to intake, case management, investigation, and resolution of Title IX and other cases of sexual harassment and discrimination. Job Responsibilities:40% - In accordance with Title IX regulations 34 C.F.R. § 106.45(b)(1)(iii) and Louisiana Campus Security Policy RS 17:3399.15, the Deputy Title IX Coordinator develops and oversees the implementation of educational programs for students on the prevention of sexual misconduct for Louisiana State University; annual on-line training for faculty and staff on the prevention of power-based violence; and training for members of the Title IX office and other individuals who play a role in the Title IX process- collaboration with other LSU campuses to create and oversee educational programs and training as requested.25% - The Deputy Title IX Coordinator provides face-to-face, synchronous on-line, and asynchronous on-line training sessions for students, faculty, and staff on topics related to Title IX and prevention of sexual misconduct on the Baton Rouge campus and for other LSU campuses as requested. The Deputy Title IX Coordinator has primary responsibility for content on the Title IX website and promotes awareness and educational events related to Title IX on social media and other venues.15% - The Deputy Title IX Coordinator serves as a proxy for the Title IX Coordinator when requested and assists in intake, case management, investigation, and resolution of Title IX and other cases of sexual harassment and discrimination. Provides guidance on behalf of the Title IX Coordinator to other LSU campuses when requested. 15% - In consultation with the Vice President for Civil Rights & Title IX and at the direction of the Title IX Coordinator, assists in the development and/or implementation of climate surveys pertaining to sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, domestic violence, dating violence, retaliation, and/or stalking. 5% - Other duties as deemed necessary by the Vice President for Civil Rights and Title IX Coordinator and the Director of Learning and Development.Additional Requirements: FERPA -As with all LSU employees, due to this position title and/or responsibilities, this position has an obligation to assist students in the acquisition of necessary services. Should a student appear in need of or seek assistance with issues of an emotional, behavioral, or mental health related matter they should be referred to the proper service within the Student Health Center. In situations where the student creates an impression that they are a danger to themselves or others, the advisor should immediately contact the Care Team, the Dean of Students or the appropriate law enforcement agency. The employee outside of those rights contained within FERPA should create no impression of client or patient confidentiality.Minimum Qualifications:Master's in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or Related Field (i.e. Education, Counseling, Social Work, Sociology, Criminology, etc.) and 3 years experience presenting educational programs and training in a university setting (such as Student Affairs, HRM)LSU is dedicated to fostering an environment where our employees feel appreciated for their skills and individuality.
