What We're Looking For
The time is right to join HNTB's growing Design Build (DB) Organization! We are seeking candidates for a Project Controls Manager, with demonstrated experience on fast-paced transportation infrastructure projects, and with extensive P6 experience. This role is a key member of project controls team, responsible for guiding multiple project teams in WBS and schedule development, collecting and reporting project progress and performance cost analysis and earned value reporting. Provide analysis of project outputs to proactively identify project issues, develop recovery plans, and incorporate changes in the project schedule. This individual will accomplish HNTB's 4 for 4 performance: delivery of quality work, on time, on budget and to the client's satisfaction on every project through coordination with internal and external partners and cross discipline teams to address and solve design related issues or concerns.
What You'll Do:
* Develops moderately complex schedules. Maintains project schedules including progress updates. Revises forecasts and evaluates impact of delay. Communicates status of schedule and key risk areas to members of project management team.
* Performs schedule analysis to include critical activities, risk areas, key milestones and significant changes to schedule. Develops what if scenarios to explore alternate sequencing in order to mitigate or avoid schedule delays.
* Prepares reporting from schedules including EVA analysis, integration of cost & schedule.
* Performs contemporaneous schedule analysis.
* Performs detailed review of contractor schedule submittals, including baseline and progress updates.
* Researches project documentation relating to claim data, including project correspondence and inspection diaries.
* Analyzes contract documents/construction documents (plans and specifications) to translate scope of work, milestones, contract time, and/or construction phasing and sequencing into the schedule.
* Assists project team in planning the work, including developing Work-Breakdown Structure (WBS), estimating durations, and sequencing the work (hard restraints and soft restraints).
* Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Business and 3 years relevant experience, or
* In lieu of education, 7 years relevant experience
What We Prefer:
* Hands on experience with Primavera P6 Professional and MS Project
* Strong Excel skills
* Design Build scheduling experience

The approximate pay range for New York is $79,356.08 - $155,151.30. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.

The approximate pay range for Washington, DC is $91,259.50 - $142,739.20. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
