The Design Coordinator will participate in the support and management of capital projects. They will be responsible for the oversight of multiple capital projects and programmatic replacements. Here's what you will do: Performs moderate to complex work assignments designed to develop engineering design knowledge, technical skills, reporting, data collection, planning and budgeting skills. Assists in evaluating, selecting, adapting, and modifying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Ensures compliance with design criteria and standards. Ensures designs by vendors and company are constructed efficiently and effectively. Applies basic scientific and engineering principles and methods, along with technical skills. Performs technical reviews and audits of project designs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with design standards. Provides technical assistance to Engineer Technicians, Engineers, or Project Managers assigned to projects. Participates on committees and special technical teams. Reviews, analyze, and create project scope and estimates based off of engineering and operations information. Provide and assist with engineers, including scoping, scheduling, budget development, and cost tracking to meet cost and time objectives. Make design recommendations based on design requirements, budget, and time frame for specific projects and entire plans. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Who you are: You have: An Associate's degree with 5+ years of experience in Engineering or a related field OR a High School diploma or GED with 7+ years of experience in Engineering or a related field. In-depth knowledge of engineering design principles, theories, and practices. In-depth knowledge of budgeting practices. Strong oral, writing, and graphical communication skills, including technical writing. Excellent organizational and project management skills. In-depth knowledge of budgeting practices. Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of applicable software programs such as Microsoft Excel. You can: Apply knowledge, techniques, skills, and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to develop project scopes and estimates. Function effectively independently, and as a member of a planning and prioritizing team. Identify and use appropriate technical literature. Working Conditions: Office Work Environment up to 95-100% Domestic Travel up to 5%.
