Our client is looking to fill the role of Director level Design focusing on women's updated apparel in all categories. Product is sold to department stores and specialty stores. Great company to work for with the ability to rebrand and reshape the division. Will be managing a team of designers. Company is based in midtown and is a a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

• To set the overall brand strategy to ensure that financial goals are achieved;
• To lead a design team through all phases of design providing creative direction; communicating a strategic approach to design in line with our brand identity;
• Create relevant product assortments that drive business in determined distribution;
• Analyze sales and inventory reports on a weekly basis to gain understanding of business trends and to ensure achievement of set goals
• To engage and motivate all staff members around the vision set for the brand ensuring that the brand strategy is clear for effective creation of brand.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a fashion or related experience;
• Demonstrated experience in planning, developing and executing large projects;
• Strategic thinker with proven ability in managing, leading, and executing;
• Working in Adobe Suite
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills;
• Ability to take initiative, ownership and accountability for business;
• Strong sense of teamwork and ability to multi-task; and
• Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and develop a team.
