Job Summary: As a Design Engineer in the aerospace industry, you will play a pivotal role in the development and innovation of cutting-edge aerospace products. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and validating components and systems while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. Your expertise will contribute to the advancement of aerospace technology and the successful execution of projects. Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualization and Design:
    • Generate innovative design concepts for aerospace components and systems.
    • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
  • Analysis and Simulation:
    • Conduct structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics analyses to validate and optimize designs.
    • Utilize finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools to ensure performance and safety.
  • Compliance and Standards:
    • Ensure designs comply with relevant aerospace regulations, industry standards, and customer specifications.
    • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prototype Development:
    • Collaborate with prototyping and testing teams to create prototypes for design validation.
    • Evaluate and analyze prototype test results, making design improvements as necessary.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including aerodynamics, materials, and systems engineering, to integrate designs seamlessly.
    • Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to enhance overall project outcomes.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of design specifications, calculations, and testing procedures.
    • Ensure all design documentation meets internal and external audit requirements.
  • Cost Optimization:
    • Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to optimize designs for cost-effective production.
    • Identify opportunities for design improvements that enhance manufacturability.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential design risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Work with the quality assurance team to ensure designs meet rigorous safety and reliability standards.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
    • Proven experience in aerospace design engineering, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
    • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB).
    • In-depth understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Familiarity with project management principles.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
    • Professional Engineering (PE) license.
    • Experience with design for additive manufacturing.
    • Familiarity with systems engineering concepts.
    • Knowledge of aerospace regulations such as F nd EASA.
