Overview: Precision Valley Communications, a leader in the Broadband Engineering Industry, is looking for qualified individuals to join our Engineering Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in a career in the telecommunications industry. This role will support our production department to ensure that all work drafted and/or designed by our teams meets expectations based on the customer specifications. Hours: 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday Responsibilities: Perform Quality Control analysis on all CAD engineering Work Orders to ensure that the final product meets standards and practices. Document any deviation from provided technical specifications and report the changes to the work order to the appropriate supervisory personnel. Utilize, develop and/or modify project specific checklists and conform to standards. If necessary, attend meetings and/or calls with engineers, drafters and/or supervisory personnel to discuss changes in Quality Control practices that will further enhance the finished engineering work order. Work as part of a multi-faceted team consisting of engineering, construction, project management and scheduling personnel, all with a common interest of delivering results to the customer. Daily engagement with drafters via email/phones as well as occasional conference calls. Report and have accountability to the Quality Control Manager with frequent updates on work order deadlines. Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to regulations and policies. Other duties as assigned. Pay $17-$23 an hour. Qualifications: Candidates with previous experience in Bentley MicroStation, AutoCAD, SpatialNET, IDDS or 3GIS will be given high priority. Knowledge of broadband engineering a plus. Must be proficient with a Windows operating system. Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications (emphasis on Excel). Must be able to read engineering work orders and other technical documentation. Strong analytical and problem solving ability required. Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manger. Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal, organization, oral and written communications skills. Must be able to work alone or with a team. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
