DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor building entrance, make rounds to insure security of premises and answer phones. Document observations in logbook. Respond to emergencies. Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed. Related duties as assigned.
HOURS:
Part-time, 15 hours per week
+ Saturday & Sunday 4pm-12:30am
QUALIFICATIONS:
HS diploma/GED required. Good reading, writing and verbal skills. Basic computer literacy required. CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Located on the Lower East Side, Clyde Burton House is a permanent SRO housing facility with a capacity for 33 formerly homeless men and women over the age of 55. The program is funded by the NYC Department of Homeless Services, the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development and the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. In addition to providing permanent housing for its tenants, Clyde Burton House offers a variety of services aimed at helping clients maintain their independence and build a community of support among peers, including case management, medication monitoring, referrals to medical facilities, health education, psychiatric management, entitlement support and money management, recreational activities, assistance with activities of daily living and free meals.
