Job Description:

We are looking for Desk Officers II and III to join our intelligence program supporting a key government customer in Northern Virginia. These individuals must have customer experience and understand how to research, write, and analyze data using the client's proprietary targeting tools and databases. The ideal candidate must be familiar with customer writing styles and government databases, including specific targeting tools, sources, and methods.

This requisition represents multiple openings-The position level is contingent on applicant-specific qualifications and experience. After multiple assessments, applicants will be evaluated and placed in a level from 1 to 5 based on their experience and customer feedback.

As a Desk Officer (Level 2), the individual shall possess the following capabilities:

  • Responsible for responding to field requests and communicating with the field to preserve/support operational equities.
  • Communicate and support operational requirements; provide an interface between customer equities at home, in the field, and with other agencies on a geographic or transnational issues.
  • Manage and track cases; draft, coordinate, and/or monitor intelligence reports and production.
  • Provide timely guidance, including identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct research and analysis using customer tools and databases and demonstrate knowledge and/or proficiency in a geographical area or substantive issue.

As a Desk Officer (Level 3), the individual shall possess the following capabilities:

  • Responsible for responding to field requests and communicating with the field to preserve/support operational equities.

Required Qualifications Based on LCAT Level:

  • DO Level II (2)
    • 3-7 years of Tradecraft-Relevant work experience and a bachelor's degree or have five (5) additional years of Program-related work experience in lieu of a college degree!
    • Familiarity with cable writing and agency databases, including specific targeting tools.
    • Strong briefing and writing skills, as well as the ability to work well with teams or individually with minimal supervision.
    • Regional and/or functional expertise in a geographic region of interest
    • Initiative, creativity, technical excellence, and strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Self-starter who can multi-task and remain calm under pressure with the ability to work both independently and in a group.
    • Prior experience in supporting intelligence operations or familiarity with the DoD and its objectives.
    • Foreign field experience from at least two overseas tours or extensive overseas TDY experience
  • DO Level III (3)
    • 7-12 years of Tradecraft-Relevant work experience and a bachelor's degree or have five (5) additional years of Program-related work experience in lieu of a college degree!
    • Familiarity with cable writing and agency databases, including specific targeting tools.
    • Strong briefing and writing skills, as well as the ability to work well with teams or individually with minimal supervision.
    • Regional and/or functional expertise in a geographic region of interest
    • Initiative, creativity, technical excellence, and strong interpersonal and communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Customer certification as a Desk Officer or Staff Operations Officer
  • Experience in Intelligence Operations / Analysis / Support to Field Operations
  • Experience identifying targeting leads through the exploitation of all-source databases.
  • Experience using customer databases to monitor field traffic and communicate with field offices.

Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph.

Pay Range: Competitive
