Location: Wheeling,IL, USA
Reporting directly to the IT Director, the Desktop IT Support Specialist will be responsible for assisting users with any technology related issues via phone, email, and in-person.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide IT assistance for operating systems, software and various applications used internally
* Manage network security
* Set up, maintain and troubleshoot all computers, laptops, handhelds, printers, headsets, voicemail, etc for all end users
* Respond to internal requests for support via email and telephone
* Monitor and test network performance
* Assist in projects and implementations of IT software, infrastructure upgrades, migrations and enhancements
Required Experience/Skills
* Minimum of Associate's degree in related field required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
* (4) four years IT Help Desk experience.
* Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and computer networking principles.
* Proficiency in MS 365 environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Familiarity with network administration concepts, including Active Directory management.
* Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to operating systems.
