  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop hardware and software issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems and applications.
  • Set up and maintain user accounts and permissions.
  • Respond to user inquiries and provide timely resolutions to technical issues.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance of desktop systems.
  • Assist with the procurement and inventory management of desktop equipment and software.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of support activities and resolutions.
Key Responsibilities for Desktop Support Engineer:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktop systems.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software applications.
  • Collaborate with users to identify and resolve technical problems.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on the proper use of desktop systems.
  • Assist in the implementation of IT projects and initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to desktop systems.
  • Continuously improve desktop support processes and procedures.
Cable Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair cable TV and internet systems.
  • Pull, route, or label CAT6 or CAT6E cables for network systems.
  • Install support structures, including cable racks, J-hooks, innerduct, and other related structures.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is functioning correctly.
  • Test and troubleshoot issues with network communication.
  • Perform required repairs and upgrades to network cabling systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of cable installations and network configurations.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 1+ years of professional technician experience preferred, especially in cable installation and desktop support.
  • Familiarity with industry tools and equipment used for cabling and desktop support.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work at tall heights and lift 50+ pounds.
  • Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and software applications.
  • Familiarity with hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.
