We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join an elite macro trading organization in New York. This is a contract position offering an excellent hourly rate and the chance to work in a fast-paced, high-performing environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the trading floor and ensuring the smooth operation of the technology systems that underpin critical trading activities. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive desktop support to users on the trading floor, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with urgency and precision.Support and manage market data applications, including but not limited to Bloomberg and other trading platforms.Develop, maintain, and improve scripts using PowerShell to automate repetitive tasks and enhance overall system efficiency.Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and swift resolution of escalated issues.Manage and support hardware (desktops, laptops, peripherals) and software installations, configurations, and updates.Document technical issues, resolutions, and procedures to contribute to knowledge sharing across the team. Requirements Proven experience in a Desktop Support Engineer role, ideally within the financial services industry or a trading environment.Strong familiarity with market data applications, particularly Bloomberg Terminal and similar tools.Advanced proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation for task optimization and process improvement.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, with a focus on supporting critical trading operations.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with traders and stakeholders at all levels.Availability to work onsite 4 days a week in the New York office.
