Job Description: Years of Relevant Experience: 3-5 years in the desired environment Preferred Education: 4-year college degree or equivalent experience Role Description: All roles specified in CTS1 plus the following:• Provide training, guidance, support, and direction to junior interns and contractors assigned to your area of responsibility• Participate in meetings and projects as assigned• Provide advanced technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, software, and other hardware connected to a user's device.• Test and evaluate software and hardware products to determine applicability and value to agency operations.• Actively analyze and evaluate emerging software and hardware technologies/standards.• Develop appropriate functional and usability standards for the environments.• Assist in planning and implementing shared software, such as operating systems, configuration management tools, application and development tools, testing tools, etc.• Assist in planning and coordinating testing changes, upgrades, and new and standard products, ensuring systems operate correctly in current and future environments.• Anticipate, identify, track, and resolve issues and risks affecting own work. Develop contingency plans as necessary.• Analyze the functional and/or technical impact of new product releases.• Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.• Determine time estimates and schedule for own work and subordinate contractors/interns to resolve issues in a timely manner.• Identify and track issues, risks, and action items.
