Job Description:
Job Summary We are seeking a Desktop Support Specialist responsible for providing comprehensive support for client workstations, peripheral devices, and end-user hardware and software. This role includes the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and software components, both on-site and remotely. The Desktop Support Specialist will work to enhance workflows, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction by ensuring effective and efficient use of resources. Key Responsibilities •Provide support for client workstations and peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and barcode readers. •Install and maintain workstation hardware and client software. •Investigate and suggest enhancements to policies, procedures, and practices to improve workflow, productivity, and customer satisfaction. •Adhere to client and organizational processes, policies, and practices. •Perform on-site and remote installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of end-user devices and peripherals. •Serve as a technical liaison between the company and customer on relevant issues. •Install and support hardware and software components for end-user devices. •Evaluate system configurations and software to optimize resource use. •Provide Level 1 technical support and incident management. •Diagnose and resolve product performance issues. •Conduct maintenance and repair services to ensure optimal performance. •Ensure customer satisfaction by advising on preventive maintenance and configuration optimization. Required Qualifications •Experience with client workstation and peripheral device support, including installation and troubleshooting. •Proficiency in hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance. •Ability to provide Level 1 technical support and incident management. •Strong communication and customer service skills for effective liaison and customer interaction. •Problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve performance issues. Preferred Qualifications •Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and configuration optimization. Education: Bachelors Degree
