PURPOSE OF JOB: Under the guidance of the Director of Financial Planning, Analysis, and Budget, will utilize current business intelligence solutions to support the financial and strategic goals of the $425+ million Doylestown Health System. This position will provide data, analysis, and insights through the maintenance and creation of work force management, operational, and other financial benchmarks and key indicator reports. It will assist the Director of Financial Planning, Analysis, and Budget and Financial Decision Support team in developing the advancement and optimization of current decision support tools to enhance and elevate functionality for a more comprehensive range of assessment and planning activities. Will assist with the integral tasks and data gathering related to monthly, quarterly, and annual close as well as support routine and ad hoc requests requested to support the continued financial and operational goals of the System. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Utilize business intelligence solutions to support the financial and strategic goals of Doylestown Health System. Provide data, analysis, and insights through the maintenance and creation of work force management, operational, and other financial benchmarks and key indicator reports. Assist the Director of Financial Planning, Analysis, and Budget and Financial Decision Support team in developing the advancement and optimization of current decision support tools to enhance and elevate functionality for a more comprehensive range of assessment and planning activities Assist with the integral tasks and data gathering related to monthly, quarterly, and annual close as well as support routine and ad hoc requests requested to support the continued financial and operational goals of the System, including pro-forma and ROI analyses. Supports the annual operating and capital budget process through detailed data compilation, stakeholder interviews, training, and reconciliation of proposed budget to department to work force calculations and Hospital planning and overall financial requirements Job Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in financial and/or healthcare related field. Preferred, but not required: Master's degree in business administration and/or master's degree in a health-related field Experience: 1 - 3 years prior work experience in healthcare, operations, and/or healthcare consulting Other Skills: Strong knowledge and passion of the healthcare industry. Understanding of healthcare concepts, terminology, CPT coding, CDM codes, DRGs, APCs, ICD10/ICP10 codes, CMI, service lines, and third party contracting Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel with preferred experience in other decision support applications such as QlikView Proven track record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects. Demonstrated diagnostic, analytical, and quantitative skills
