About the role:We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Desktop Support Technician to join our team. In this role you will provide support and administration to employees, which includes monitoring and managing incoming helpdesk requests, maintaining inventory, setting up new users, and assisting the IT team with projects as needed.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day support and customer service to local and remote users
  • Resolve technical failures in a timely manner, track issues, escalate escalations, resolve resolutions, and close IT tickets.
  • Manage IT inventory, ordering, and deployment of hardware and software
  • Setup computers and phones for new hires
  • Performs user administration on servers or server applications.
  • Maintain and support Windows environment, Group Policy management, User/Group permissions, and file system permissions.
  • Take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible.
  • Accurately record, update, and document requests using the IT service desk system
  • Performs light configuration/troubleshooting tasks on enterprise insurance applications.
  • Understand and appreciate applications and your role in delivering software products to the business with optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.
  • Experience supported streaming applications and/or Virtual Desktop Infrastructures powered by Citrix
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: Slack, Zendesk, Jira, CrowdStrike, JAMF, Intune, TeamViewer, Cisco AnyConnect
  • Familiarity with SQL databases, ODBC drivers
  • Familiarity with Linux/Red Hat/Ubuntu is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ImageRight is a plus.
  • Knowledge of scripting and process automation tools a plus
Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements
  • Associates degree in Information Technology, B.S./B.A. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical/Computer Engineering; OR equivalent experience preferred.
  • A+, Microsoft, or other certifications preferred but not required
