End Client: GE AEROSPACEJob Title: Desktop Support Technician ILocation: 3290 Patterson Avenue SE Grand Rapids MI 49512Duration: 3 months Contract to hireShift timings: M-F, 8am-4:30 pmJob Description:US Citizenship required for GE Aerospace due to Export Control Government regulations.GE Aerospace requires First Advantage background check be run on the EnterpriseBackfill | Entry Level Deskside Support | M-F, 8am-4:30 pm. PC/laptop Deskside | Break/Fix Support | Install, Move, Add, Configure “IMAC” Work Location / Customer Address: 3290 Patterson Avenue SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512 |. Candidates should be willing to accept up to $21 per hour with benefits if converted to CompuCom employee depending on experience and performance. Please be sure to set appropriate expectations initially when submitting candidates to this Rec. Also, be sure to pay close to $21 / hr, but not above this number. If the candidate is paid more than this number by the vendor, then the candidate may be rejected upon conversion due to conflicting expectations.Repair, test, image and clean PC's, laptop, monitors, printers, and other related hardware.Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot, software and computer peripherals. Ability to setup, configure and add all hardware.Experience with asset management. Install, move, add, and change. Large IMAC events expected for client printer migration and PC refreshesAssure that all tickets requiring follow up work and/or calls receive appropriate attention.Comfortable with face to face interactions as will be required to provide technical support to end users in-person at the customer's siteBack up and burn end user data.Assist in developing and documenting improvements to current processes. Assist other coworkers in resolution of end users' technical issues across the program.Assist Site Leader in the execution of established processes and escalations.Ability to handle multiple projects.Experience working in enterprise environment.Be physically able to lift up to 40lbs, bend, crawl, and lay in order to support customer computer systems.Be able to be on feet and physically walk potentially a good portion of the day while visiting customers work area.Interview Process:1) Phone screening2) Video Microsoft Teams meeting with Customer3) Onsite visit with Customer including interview and tour
