Location: Niskayuna, NY 12309Job Summary: As a Desktop Technician, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our customers and proactively identifying their needs.You'll work to create the ideal experience that any customer would seek to encounter.
- Maintains, analyzes, and troubleshoots, computer systems (Windows 10 and MacOS), and computer peripherals on site and remotely.
- Mobile phone support (iPhone and Android).
- Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces software systems and hardware.
- Imaging, configuration, and wiping of computers.
- Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security, and systems groups.
- Trains users, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
- Hands and feet assistance on network connection issues; tracking network connections back to network switches.
- Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support if unable to resolve. Supporting onsite customers at a walk-in support center
- Ability to handle multiple projects.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Drug-screen and Background screening
- 3 years of related work experience
- Solid experience and understanding of IT services and products.
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
- Personable.
- Consultative approach to solving issues.
- Reliable transportation
