Description Desktop Support Technician Maternal Fetal Medicine Associates, a prestigious OBGYN/MFM medical practice located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is looking for a Desktop Support Technician to join our team. The Desktop Support Technician is the first point of contact for all related IT services. The ideal candidate must have the skills necessary to quickly identify, diagnose, escalate, document, and resolve all reported issues. Essential Functions:
  • Provide support to our employees who are working on location or remotely.
  • Use available information resources to achieve problem resolution.
  • Set up, configure, and support client networks.
  • Develop and maintain client systems, applications, security, and network configurations.
  • Troubleshoot network performance issues.
  • Responsible for all front-end devices, including computers, printers, telephones, and other peripheral equipment.
  • Assist in gathering bid prices on equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Engage software and hardware vendors regarding service for defective products.
  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates.
  • Answer questions, applying knowledge of computer software, hardware, systems, and procedures.
  • Resolve low to mid-level (L1/L2) technical issues, escalating to the appropriate support group as needed.
  • Works on Helpdesk, Information Technology systems and other administrative related projects as assigned.
