Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY: The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for providing primary support for all desktop software and hardware issues in addition to maintenance and support of computer equipment, wireless devices, and telephone systems for all associates of K-VA-T Food Stores, Inc. This is a full-time and hourly position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Act as the point of contact for all computer and system-related concerns from associates with K-VA-T Food Stores, Inc.

* Complete detailed reports listing requests to technical assistance, steps taken to resolve them, and the specific dates/individuals involved, typically via the ticket tracking system.

* Commit time to learn new technologies as they either emerge or become utilized.

* Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage and assist in training individuals on all PC software.

* Organize and file documentation pertaining to warranties and instructional guides for computer hardware.

* Maintain work logs detailing all required system updates, as well as the date of completion as required.

* Attend in-person meetings with associates to analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose hardware problems.

* Resolve technical issues related to network interruptions.

* Act as the initial point of contact for associate cell phone issues.

* Install and configure computer systems and applications within the company.

* Install and configure printer and copier systems, and troubleshoot issues with printing, copying, scanning, and faxing.

* Aid in the logistical accounting and disposition of all IT-related equipment, and maintain an accurate asset inventory of hardware.

* Willingness to work independently as well as under direct supervision.

* Possess a sense of urgency in proper completion of assigned tasking, specifically in the completion of end-user issue correction.

* Work professionally and effectively with individuals who have varying levels of skills and learning abilities to teach required skills and responsibilities.

* Responsible for attending on-site work during normal business hours in the typical work week, as well as extra time as needed to fulfill job duties through regular attendance.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

* 1-3 years of proven experience in a heavy customer focus position involving desktop support, preferred; a combination of experience, certifications, or education may be considered in lieu of stated qualification requirements.

* Time-management skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution.

* Comfortable working in and assisting others through company help desk software in addition to other remote access desktop programs.

* Extensive experience working with the Windows Operating System.

* Ability to comfortably work with senior-level executives to resolve IT issues.

* Ability to assign work, recognize work-related needs, and make recommendations to pursue their successful conclusion.

* Professional verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential when interacting with associates.

* Must possess a valid and unrestricted state-issued driver's license.

* Ability to always maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

* Proficient knowledge Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams applications.

* Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals daily.

* Ability to attend on-site work during normal business hours, in the typical work week, as well as extra time as needed to fulfill job duties through regular attendance.
