L1 Support Technician / Desktop Support On-site 5 days in Woodbury, MN - 55125 6 months contract with possibility of hire Rate - up to $30/hr on w2 This role is with a renowned US based IT services company In addition to laptop provisioning, imaging, Break/fixing there is physical labor work - boxing up equipment, bubble wrapping monitors, and shipping it out. IMMEDIATE interviews followed by Background check and Drug test RESPONSIBILITIES Configure and setup laptops and peripherals for new hires and assisting with initial setup Ship and label hardware to users Manage old and new assets and document in the system Process terminated users' hardware and re-image Responsible for boxing / wrapping / shipping of equipment and break/fix requests including devices such as laptops, thin clients, keyboard, mouse, headset, and monitors. Provision laptop for new hires Process / intake equipment when it gets returned after someone leaves the company Provide Assistance with tracking assets including asset tagging and putting newly arrived equipment into inventory. In addition to the Hardware, there might be some work in application support on those machines. You will handle procurement forecast related activities for all Desktop / Laptops , Printers. You will be maintaining the assets at the location and match that with Desktop/ Laptop CMDB (Asset management) . Maintain the details of EOL hardware and proactively liaise with IT manager for replacements. Handling all the VIP users at the location. Troubleshooting Networking and connection issues REQUIREMENTS Some experience/exposure with desktop imaging, provisioning and support Good written and Verbal communication skills Must have a car and a valid Drivers License
