The Technician will provide Desktop, Laptop, and Printer support. They will also assist with physical network troubleshooting as needed, serving as the go-to person for any IT-related conversations at our Office/Warehouse. Printers are supported mostly internally, except for ordering new ones, which the Technician will handle. A strong IT presence is required. The Technician will also manage the admin role for badging and access control. Comfort with troubleshooting issues with Desktop and Laptop machines is essential. They will handle many daily issues at the T1/T2 level, install new equipment on the plant floor, handle imaging, and support iPad tablets at the plants, so JAMF experience (or similar) is required. The Technician will act as the liaison between the warehouse and IT resources.

Qualifications:

  • A+ and Network+ certifications are preferred.
  • Experience with RF scan guns is helpful.
  • Steel toe shoes are required; eye and ear protection will be provided.

Work Hours:

  • Can start at 7am - 4pm or 8am - 5pm, but not at 9am.

Notes:

  • This is a 6 month contract-to-hire role
  • Based on performance, there is an opportunity to convert to full-time when the position is approved, with full benefits and additional PTO.
  • Initially 100% onsite
  • Must be open to being on-call on weekends as needed.

  • A good, easy-going, can do personality is helpful.

Work Environment:

  • This is a mix of office and manufacturing plant environment.

External Communities Job Description:

  • Desktop support technician to support a manufacturing environment. Experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11, along with a good understanding of network troubleshooting, is helpful. A+ and Network+ certifications are very beneficial. Will support approximately 130 users. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are needed.
