Job Title: Desktop Specialist

Location: Egg Harbor Township, NJ (onsite)

Job Type: Contract (potential to convert to full-time)

A reputed retail and manufacturing company is seeking a Desktop Specialist to join their IT team. The desktop support technician is responsible for providing a single point of contact for end users to receive support. The person will provide frontline support (in person and remote) requiring troubleshooting, technical assistance and training of associates. The Desktop Support Technician will have a strong passion for new technologies, learning, and providing exceptional customer service to end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

· Account management, including new account creation

· Configuring and installing VOIP phones

· Office 365 management, including Exchange and Teams admin center

· Creating and running scripts to automate software deployments and IT functions

· Windows update management including managing updates on the Windows update server and ensuring all laptops are up to date

· Monitoring key processes and systems

· Backup management cooperatively with our BaaS vendor, including monitoring, DR testing, documentation and restores

· Imaging new devices and maintaining the base images on the MDT server

· Managing the user access process, including granting access to certain key systems

· Providing training and documentation to end users

· Installing and configuring software and hardware components, on both PC and Mac systems

· Handle the remote support of company field personnel including hardware, VPN connectivity, wireless networking, email, cell phones, printers and scanners.

· Documenting all support requests and resolutions in our ticketing system

Requirements:

· Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Strong troubleshooting skills

· Experience with Active directory and group management

· Experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktop/laptops

· Experience supporting Mac OS is preferred but not required

· Familiarity with PowerShell and command line scripts preferred

· Basic understanding of networking principles (DHCP, DNS)

· Jamf experience a plus
