Desktop Technician $26 - 28/hr Highpoint, NC (Onsite) Contract to hire Job ID 24-09150 Solugenix is assisting a client in their search for a Desktop Technician. This is a contract to hire opportunity based in Highpoint, NC (Onsite). Qualifications:
  • Requires 3+ years of related work experience.
  • Sound knowledge of Network routing/switching, Wireless network, Firewall, network troubleshooting skills including packet captures and analysis, knowledge about monitoring and ITSM tools.
  • Should be able to perform IMACD services.
  • Certified Network + and nice to have CCNA.
  • Configuring network connectivity.
  • Configuring access to resources.
  • Configuring backup and recovery options.
  • Create full site diagrams with network schematics.
  • Network Integration of the site.
  • Completion of site diagrams.
  • Network+ is a bonus.
  • Experience Racking/Stacking/Installing Hardware for Servers, Routers, Switches and Wireless Access Points.
  • bility to measure, cut and crimp Network (Cat 5/6E) Cable as required.
  • Determine Hardware needs i.e., Laptops/Desktops, printers, monitors, etc.
  • Identifying and coordinating with the practices.
  • Identification of IT equipment needs.
  • Disposal of legacy assets.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide onsite support to Authorized Users with operational and technical support and to meet specified SLAs.
  • Perform reactive troubleshooting to effectively identify potential incidents or problems and attempt to eliminate them to occur in the future.
  • Support Authorized Uses connecting or attempting to connect to the corporate network and assist in the coordination and completion of accessing LAN, print, and file services; connection to WAN; and accessing appropriate LAN segments.
  • Provide network printers and scanner network connectivity, including providing network support for device configuration, IP addressing, and direct TCP/IP output.
  • Experience working inside IDF and MDF closets to install and troubleshoot Routers, Switches, Hubs and Servers.
  • Provide support for equipment including desktop devices, mobile devices, display screens, video systems, docking stations, communication devices, direct attached printers, local printers, scanners, wireless networking, etc.
  • Provide on-site hardware support for general troubleshooting and problems for network technologies.
  • Provide regular, accurate, and timely feedback regarding customer requirements which shall include supervising assignments and maintaining timely communication with sales, operations, and branch office personnel.
  • Utilize problem management database and systems to track and report on customer calls and requests.
  • Communicate technical information to technical and non-technical teams and customers.
  • Use of ticketing and documentation systems and processes in performing tasks.
  • Experience in configuration, installation, management and troubleshooting of Compute and Network routing/switching/wireless network/factory network.
  • Good understanding and experience in Server, Storage, Backup, application transport and network infrastructure protocols SSLTLS, DNS, DHCP, WINS, NTP, RADIUS, TACACS, , FTP, HTTP, SMTP, CIFS, LDAP, and Microsoft AD.
  • Working in 24x7 operations support.
  • Support team in resolving critical technical issues during crisis situations.
  • Coordinate with remote technical team and users for any service request, incidents, technical requirements.
  • New installation and configuration of network, security equipment, escort third-party suppliers.
Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $26/hour to $28/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
