Our future success relies on the same thing that's carried us for more than 65 years - a committed team of employees working together to achieve goals and provide our customers with the best product in the industry.POSITION SUMMARY:The Detailed Plant Scheduler is responsible for developing a systematic daily production schedule in Oracle EBS to fulfill product demand for the assigned products and manufacturing lines/cells. The scheduler develops a detailed production schedule at the daily/shift level aligned with the short-term plan received from the Supply Network Planning team, and manages customer order demand in line with capacities and production schedule dates. The plan aims to optimize production efficiency whilst considering all related resources and constraints such as changeover times, sequencing, raw materials availability, and optimal batch sizes.The plant scheduler monitors schedule adherence and proactively adapts the plan to mitigate risks in collaboration with planners, manufacturing supervisors, buyers, warehouse & logistics, quality and resource constraints as necessary. The plant scheduler helps establish root causes and resolutions in collaboration with stakeholders. A significant element of the role is to proactively schedule and reschedule products across multiple constraints and dependencies within a short timeframe whilst maintaining plant efficiencies and respecting material availability.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Partner with the Supply Network planter to convert the short-term MPS into a detailed production schedule considering operational efficiency, constraints and agreements such as production parameters, sequencing and changeover constraints to ensure the shop floor has an executable schedule.
  • Create daily production schedules for assigned constraints or areas
  • Manage open Work Orders/Discrete Jobs and follow up to keep updated and closed on time.
  • Monitor daily production schedules and manage past due reporting; collaboration with shop floor on root cause of delay and rescheduling past dues as appropriate.
  • Responsible to provide feedback to the cross-functional supply chain team on required master data changes.
  • Keep the manufacturing calendar updated with preventative maintenance schedule, holidays, and planned downtime.
  • Continuously monitoring local Inventory On hand and actively works and communicate with corresponding areas any relevant deviations for instance OnHand accuracy variances, delay in shipments/ movements or quality release time variance.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and make course corrections when unexpected production, resources, materials supply or quality issues arise, proactively analyze it and define if re-scheduling is necessary, guarantee timely communication to all impacted stakeholders.
  • Continuously monitors planning parameters, BOM accuracy and RM/SA availability/substitutes. Where necessary escalate issues to the appropriate Supply Chain team member or leader.
  • Track the output in terms of quantity and quality according with the schedule.
  • Track capacity usage, participate in capacity discussions. Communicate information that may impact the capacity availability in terms of rates or escalate if there is consistent variance in factor or production output
  • Maintain effective communication and teamwork with production supervisors, planning area staff, buyers, quality staff. Participates in Manufacturing Tier 1 meeting and Tier 2 meeting for Planning Area.
  • Participate in regular Gemba Walks that include capacity constraint usage, resource availability, material flows and order accuracy maintenance. Capture operational feedback that can be used for continuous improvement.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives that focus on product availability, capacity improvement and efficiencies, inventory reduction and other operational subjects
  • Partner with the corporate supply planning team on ERP system modifiers, time fences and other master data to ensure they are set in a way that accurately reflects how the plant is running production.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings and completing assignments.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Provide back-up coverage for the Plant buyer or Supply Planning Operations leadership as needed.
  • Assist on other special projects as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelor's Degreein supply chain, business, engineering or other related field preferred. Experience:
  • If degreed, minimum of 3 years' experience in a supply chain role - preferably in a scheduling role for manufacturing; Supply Chain ERP experience, Oracle EBS 12.2.6 or greater preferred.
  • If non-degreed, minimum of 5 years' experience in a supply chain role -preferably in a scheduling role for manufacturing; Supply Chain ERP experience; Oracle EBS 12.2.6 or greater preferred.
Required Skills:
  • Production Planning / Scheduling
  • Inventory Management - Control and keep track of the inventory items.
  • Bills of Material/Specs/Fabrication Methodology - Knowledge of BOM purpose, typical structure/content, creation, maintenance & use.
  • Experience working with performance indicators & scorecards, understanding of the relationship between metric & process.
  • Demonstrated examples of conflict resolution in the working environment.
  • Strong problem solving skills to identifies risks and develop the appropriate responses
  • Communication across various levels of the organization from shop floor to corporate leadership.
  • Understanding of MPS Methodologies and Techniques and how they are used in material requirements planning systems to develop a detailed plan for product manufacturing.
  • Ability to analyse data and relate to shop floor performance and production scheduling.
Preferred Skills:
  • Deep knowledge of Lozier plant processes, lines and products.
  • Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and the decision-making processes to balance demand and supply, to integrate financial planning and operational planning, and to link high level strategic plans with day-to-day operations necessary to achieves focus, alignment and synchronization among all functions of the organization.
  • Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma Training or Certification to optimize production and processes for efficiencies
  • Demand Management of raw materials and production capacity
  • Oracle WIP Manufacturing, MPS modules
SPECIAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing setting, upstairs, downstairs, factory floor.
