This position is a 12-month teaching position responsible for providing instruction to students at Perquimans Juvenile Detention Center. The teacher will provide small group instruction aligned with the NC Standard Course of Study to students in grades 6 - 12 and/or for students who are pursuing their high school equivalency or have graduated. This position will be expected to collaborate with a partner teacher, the detention facility director, direct care staff, Juvenile Education Services staff, and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate instruction and services are provided to all students while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
