BRIC is building Brooklyn's creative future.About the Development Manager, Events and Membership Role: BRIC seeks a Development Manager, Membership and Events to manage and oversee BRIC's membership program and special event strategy, two key avenues of revenue for BRIC. The Development Manager, Membership and Events will report to the Associate Director, Development. This role will play a key role in driving revenue growth across membership and individuals, devising an event strategy that capitalizes on stewardship and cultivation across all of BRIC's programs. The ideal candidate will be a team player, comfortable interacting with members and donors, and positioned to take on a leadership role within the department.What You'll Do in the Role:The Development Manager, Membership and Events will be responsible for the following in addition to any other project as assigned by the Associate Director, Development:Membership & Individual Giving: Oversee the management and growth of BRIC's membership program with targeted annual and multi-year giving to meet annual goals and strategic plans for growth. Devise and assist in the direct cultivation and solicitation of members, annual appeal donors, gala supporters and prospects, including through in-person meetings, special events, telephone, written solicitations/proposals, email, and other means per donor preference and engagement. Strategize and collaborate with the BRIC senior leadership and select Board members to maximize revenue generation including, and not limited to: co-cultivating and co-soliciting donors with senior leadership and Board members in key settings. Develop and execute strategies to recruit, retain, and upgrade individual members, focusing on effective donor stewardship to build strong donor relationshipsManage and oversee all aspects of the membership program, including acquisition, renewal, and recognition initiatives, including any donor recognition programsWork closely with the marketing and communications team to ensure consistent messaging and branding for membership materials, particularly in digital fundraising, including online giving platforms, crowdfunding, and social media campaignsUtilize prospect research and analytical tools to identify, segment, and qualify a broader and deeper pool of prospective members and event attendees with the capacity and affinity to make annual gifts at targeted levels. Identify and cultivate major gift prospects within the membership baseProvide regular reports and analyses on membership performanceStay informed about industry best practices and trends in membership managementManage full time Development Associate. Event Management: Conceive and implement targeted events/experiences and engagement strategies to drive stewardship and cultivation.Develop, plan, and manage all aspects of fundraising, cultivation, and member events Conceptualize themes and research requests, assess feasibility, and make recommendationsEvaluate events and share data with leadership and other stakeholdersDevelop, improve, and document event processesManage all expenses for the Special Events team, including tracking each event and advising on budgets You'll Bring these Skills and Strengths to the Role: Experience & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field. 3-5 years of fundraising experience.Direct experience with membership and membership programming is a plus.
