Job Description:

UPMC has an opening for a Full-Time Development Associate to join the Administration Department at its Divine Providence Campus. This position will work M-F 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will not be required to work weekends or major holidays. Apply now to join this team of Life Changers!

**Purpose:**

Creates and coordinates tools and resources, conducts gift processing, and supports outreach efforts that relate to fundraising.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Responsible for writing discovery, cultivation and solicitation outreach for community, corporate and major donors.

+ Creates continuity in messaging and approach across all fundraising outreach efforts

+ Responsible for maintaining tools and resources, while also cross promoting among teams to increase understanding of availability

+ Maintain the donor database including moves management and action tracks. Generate reports on fundraising to ensure consistent data collection that reflects relationship and gift proposal activity, stages and engagement.

+ Process of charitable donations.

+ Manage list creation for appeal mailings.

+ Coordinate and manage special projects, mailings, donor reports, and other fundraising initiatives as appropriate/required.

Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, liberal arts, journalism, business or related field.1-3 years of experience in development, communications, business, data management or related field. Experience with development and/or fundraising in a health care, education or community non-profit setting preferred. Required Skills and Abilities: 1. Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and problem-solving skills and the ability to work with many different constituencies such as donors, volunteers, trustees and staff. 2. Ability to present a professional image of the hospital and articulate mission and values of the hospital. 3. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. 4. Ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment, and handle multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy.5. Capacity to work independently and as part of a team to fulfill goals of the department.6. High level of enthusiasm, initiative, motivation and self-direction.
