Job Description:
SUMMARY Working closely with members of St. Vincent Family Services (SVFS) Leadership Team, assists in the implementation of the agency's development plan. Primary responsibilities will include managing the agency's fundraising efforts; coordinating, planning and executing agency events, including fundraising events and donor relations campaign needs; and assisting with individual, corporate and foundation giving. Will assist in the stewardship of SVFS donors and partners while also supporting the development, growth, and awareness of the agency's mission and vision within the agency and the community. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Utilizes trauma informed care when applicable.
  • Is sensitive to the children's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Works with the CEO and Director of Community Engagement & Marketing to plan, develop, coordinate, and implement agency-related fundraising initiatives, activities, events and special projects
  • Works with the CEO and Director of Community Engagement & Marketing to secure funding for new and existing projects and events thru private donors, public funders and corporate support.
  • Collaborates with SVFS Grant Coordinator as appropriate, in alignment with agency-related fundraising efforts.
  • Executes agency's stewardship plan by assisting in the growth of annual gifts, major gifts, planned/endowment gifts, sponsorship revenues, corporate and foundation contributions, and special project fundraising to support the mission of the agency.
  • Maintains agency's donor database.
  • Coordinates and executes donor recognition activities, including thank you acknowledgements for CEOs signature
  • Provides planning support and collaborates with Operations Coordinator to support the agency volunteer program.
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with local groups, corporations and individuals involved with events, in-kind donations and volunteers.
  • Supports with strategic planning, development and execution of all agency-related events - SVFS Annual Fundraising Event, School Supply Drive, Adopt-A-Family drive, etc.
  • Solicits in-kind donations for events and agency needs.
  • Works with the Director of Community Engagement & Marketing to develop promotional plans for events and programs that support the funding goals and objectives of the agency, including communication and social media efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES May require supervision of volunteers. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years fundraising experience.
  • Previous non-profit Development experience preferred.
  • Prior development/fundraising experience required.
Certificates/Licenses: Requires a valid Ohio Driver's License, valid automobile insurance and valid vehicle registration.Language Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences in person, on the telephone, and in writing. Ability to effectively present information, respond to inquiries or complaints from diverse audiences to include SVFS staff, regulatory agencies, service providers and/or members of the business community. Mathematical Skills:Requires strong mathematical skills.Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and desktop publishing software. Proficiency with donor management software.Reasoning Ability:Accuracy and attention to detail are critical. Analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary. Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment, to work without continuous supervision, and to work cooperatively with internal and external groups and individuals.
