Job ResponsibilitiesJoin the University Libraries at the University of South Carolina as a Development Coordinator. In this role, you'll work closely with our Lead Senior Director of Development to help us reach our fundraising goals. This role will focus on managing donor communications, overseeing donor stewardship, processing contributions, basic donor event management, and tracking endowments. This work is essential in keeping our donors engaged and appreciated. Responsibilities will evolve as both the library environment and campus needs continue to change. The ideal candidate will be friendly, flexible and receptive to change. A desire to learn new skills and explore new areas of expertise is highly valued. Minimum and Additional Requirements Requires a bachelor's degree and 2 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience. Must have the ability to work evenings as required. Preferred Qualifications Experience using Blackbaud CRM and Microsoft Office Additional Comments Ability to demonstrate clear verbal and written communication. Ability to maintain donor confidentiality. Ability to work well under pressure, manages numerous ongoing tasks despite interruption, handle large volume of work, and show attention to detail. Excellent organizational ability in order to set priorities, organize workload, handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. Ability to balance and manage conflicting priorities and constant and concurrent deadlines. Knowledge of USC and USC Development policies, procedures, rules, and program goals and objectives. Knowledge and effective computer experience to include database systems and word processing. Thorough knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment. Excellent typing skills and experience using Microsoft Office suite. Ability to coordinate diverse administrative/management functions. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with faculty, co-workers, alumni, donors, campus contacts, volunteers, community supporters, businesses, and the public. Outstanding oral and written communication skills and outstanding interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of accounting principles.
