The Office of Engagement and Extensions mission at CSU is to connect communities around shared solutions through education, research, and leadership. Extension agents in 64 Colorado counties deliver the research-based education and resources from CSU , Colorados Land Grant University. Our programs serve the current and future needs of Coloradans by providing educational information and programs that safeguard health, increase livelihood, and enhance well-being. Position Summary
The Office of Engagement & Extension ( OEE ) and Libraries Development Coordinator is a full-time position reporting to the Assistant Director of Development. The Coordinator will play an integral role in assisting the team by overseeing the development and administrative fundraising activities that support OEE and CSU Libraries. The Coordinator will infuse diversity, and inclusion into all aspects of their role to contribute to inclusive excellence and to ensure colleagues and donors of all backgrounds feel represented and included.
Required Job Qualifications
+ Bachelors degree from an accredited institution by employment start date
+ A minimum of 2 years experience, in an administrative role, such as project or office management and/or in a customer-facing role, such as sales, marketing, non-profit management or a development office
+ A demonstrated ability to engage and effectively communicate with diverse audiences
+ Ability to travel and work non-standard hours, including early mornings, evenings, and some weekends
+ Must have a valid drivers license, the ability to obtain a drivers license, or access to a licensed driver by the employment start date

Duty/Responsibility
+ Manage development operations to enhance the fundraising activities in the Office of Engagement and Extension and Libraries.
+ Implement and maintain processes to support the Managing Director of Development and Assistant Director of Development in their donor interactions (write briefs, prepare materials, develop presentations, support proposal creation, new fund paperwork, gift transmittals, gifts in kind, letters of intent, and schedule meetings).
+ Compile and analyze data and information from the CRM donor database.
+ Create donor profiles as needed to guide development staff and administrators with their interactions with donors and prospects.
+ Oversee integrity of donor data and gift fund management (create new funds; track fund agreements; track proposals; enter contact reports; handle all ad-hoc report requests; handle appeal code requests; and manage OEE and Libraries pipeline information in the Ascend database).
+ Ensure accurate processing of donor gifts in adherence with donor intent and University Advancement, Colorado State University Foundation, and manage the donor acknowledgment process.
+ Interpret University Advancement policies to faculty and staff within the Office of Engagement and Extension and Libraries systems, and support them in adhering to guidelines and best practices.

Duty/Responsibility
+ Manage development operations to empower the Managing Director of Development and team to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni and other major gifts ($25,000+) donors. Responsible for understanding and executing the Donor Bill of Rights, and maintaining positive donor relationships and confidentiality.
+ Manage gift acknowledgment process (create thank you letters, weekly gift reports, and customized donor communications; track mailings).
+ Manage overall stewardship strategic in collaboration with Managing Director of Development and team.
+ Recommend strategic actions to senior leadership by pulling reports, creating presentations and overseeing travel schedules to ensure fundraising priorities and goals are met.
+ Partner with State 4-H office to coordinate annual Colorado 4-H awards, communicating directly with donors and assisting with event recommendations.
+ Draft strong, clearly written communications (email and written correspondence, contact reports, etc.) to ensure flow of information is recorded accurately in Ascend database.
+ Create and manage online giving pages and other fundraising appeals. Compile lists of donors and alumni for use by academic units for mail and email communications, event invitations and solicitations.
+ Communicate with leadership annual giving level donors about gifts and solicitations.
+ Create engaging communication strategies for priority audiences (such as Colorado 4-H and Libraries Archives) in conjunction with unit marketing and communication teams.

+ Support the administrative activities for the Managing Director of Development and Assistant Director of Development as needed (take meeting minutes, plan travel, create agendas, support events, etc.).
+ Coordinate and setup meetings, create briefings and background materials (bios, overview reports, etc.) for OEE and Libraries administrators, faculty and staff.
+ Prepare, process and route all required gift forms for funds received by OEE and Libraries development team.
+ Process team expense receipts and travel reimbursements.
+ Compile weekly gift reports and communicate findings to the Managing Director of Development and/or Assistant Director of Development.
+ Manage timelines and responsibilities for several different projects while utilizing a strong attention to details.
