Development Director Summary: Function as a caller 2 who oversees implementation of a complete Financial Master Plan with key donors in the national and divisional vision funding strategy with whom he or she is organically connected. He or she may be the primary caller for folks in the group. Essential Duties: 1. Donor Management Ensure that each major donor (individual, business, church, foundation) on his or her Strategy Management Form has a primary caller who balances the best interest of the donor with the goal of maximizing the donor's partnership in funding Young Life ministry through a multi-year Strategy and Financial Master Plan.
- Ensure that the donor's range of interest in ministry is accurately represented in the Priority Prospect Lists on which they appear.
- Essential Duties (con't):
- Ensure that each call on the Financial Master Plan is made correctly and the purpose of the call (e.g. nurture, solicitation, thank you) is accomplished and documented as part of a larger Strategy for this donor or prospect.
- If the Financial Master Plan is modified, the modifications should be noted, carried out and documented.
- Data Management
- Track electronically the progress in carrying out the Financial Master Plan for each donor on the Strategy Management Form
- Pass relevant data on donors to the appropriate campaign director and primary caller as necessary.
- 2. Reporting
- Update the Strategy Management Form by the first of each month.
- Send a copy to the division's director for development and TDS.
- 3. Portfolios
- As appropriate act as a primary caller.
- Accept both short and long-term assignments from the division's director for development and TDS.
- Complete them as requested.
- Education: BA preferred Experience Required For The Job: May be a volunteer or employee of Young Life who can successfully oversee the elements of donor management and follow-through. Must be tested and proved in environments that demand proactivity and punctuality in meeting deadlines.
