Job Details Job Location : MILWAUKEE, WI Position Type : Full Time Salary Range : Undisclosed Job Category : Engineering Description Position: Electrolyzer Testing & Development Engineer Status: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt Salary: Salaries at Advanced Ionics are paid once monthly Reports to: Testing and Development Manager Position Summary: Electrolyzer Testing and Development Engineer is responsible for w riting detailed electrolyte test plans, assembling electrolyzer cells and stacks and installing into test stations, completing electrolyzer cell and stack tests, completing data analysis and reporting results of electrolyzers tests, completing test postmortem analysis and reporting on electrolyzer cells and stacks, and writing and maintaining procedures and work instructions for associated work. This position will emphasize analyzing test data and leading troubleshooting efforts through scrutinizing test data and understanding of the system. Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, in-person position. Days and hours of the work are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required. Essential Functions of the Position: Lead analysis of electrolyzer test data. Report performance and durability test results to development engineers and leadership. Record, analyze, and report test results in a timely manner. Work closely with Data Scientist to develop and employ advanced data analysis methods and to automate data analysis to improve efficiencies. Collaborate with research and development teams to identify new testing needs and opportunities. Assemble electrolyzer cells in accordance with established specifications and guidelines. Install and monitor cells in test stations to guarantee proper functionality. Execute experiments, collect data, and ensure tests are carried out accurately and on schedule. Maintain comprehensive test result databases to ensure accurate record-keeping. Address questions or concerns related to test results as needed. Develop and maintain testing procedures to guarantee accurate and consistent results. Stay up-to-date with the latest technical and scientific advancements in your field. Experience with hands on assembly and fabrication of lab test articles and fixtures. Astute understanding of materials and electrochemical degradation processes. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with complex systems leveraging data and system understanding. Experienced with analyzing large data sets including automating and standardizing data processing. Strong spreadsheet and presentation-making skills. Experience with Python, Matlab, or similar programming tools. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with designing experiments using statistical backed methods. Experience and knowledge in running and analyzing electrochemical test techniques including EIS, LSV, OCV, and GITT.
