Do you have 5+ years of development experience?We are currently in search of a Development Manager for an Arts and Theatre organization located in New York City (Midtown Manhattan). This is a Full-Time, Hybrid, Temporary assignment.ORGANIZATION TYPE: Arts and TheatreLOCATION: New York City (Midtown Manhattan)POSITION TITLE: Development ManagerSCHEDULE: Full Time (35 hours/week); Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days remote)DURATION: TemporaryHOURLY RATE: $28-30/hr. DOEIs This Your Dream Job? The Development Manager will manage projects related to working with sponsors, processing donations, and acknowledging donors. Our Ideal Candidate:
  • 5+ years of Development experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Familiarity with direct mail and fundraising events required
  • Experience with Salesforce required
  • Exceptional writing skills required
  • Flexible and a self-starter
How You Will Spend Your Day:
  • Provide administrative and strategic support in all aspects of advancement, external relations, and marketing, including trustee and committee relations, individual and institutional giving, sponsored programs, events, and communications.
  • Develop and execute a multi-channel fundraising plan to increase annual giving and donor participation through crowdfunding, direct mail, email, and social media.
  • Draft and design related appeals, collateral, and communications and engage with external vendors and consultants as necessary.
  • Conduct daily entry of all gifts, prepare timely acknowledgment letters, tax receipts, pledge reminders, and invoices, and reconcile financials with the Finance Team.
  • Manage constituent management database
  • Assist with the moves management process, including prospect tracking and research.
  • Oversee day-to-day communication and provide outstanding customer service to all inquiries and requests from internal and external audiences.
  • Coordinate calendar scheduling, logistics, and preparations of meetings.
  • Assist and potentially lead direct-mail campaigns
