In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.What you will be doingPRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE: The HSS Foundation seeks a detail-oriented and data-focused individual for the role of Development Operations Associate to oversee and support day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the HSS Foundation. Reporting to the Associate Director, Gift Administration, the Associate plays a critical role in gift processing & receipting, data entry, and records maintenance, with a primary focus on these functions related to BIKE HSS, a peer-to-peer fundraising program that brings in 10k+ gifts annually. The Associate will be expected to have keen attention to detail and provide excellent customer service by responding to internal and external inquiries via phone, email, or in person in a timely and professional manner.DUTIES AND Responsibilities
  • Processing and recording of philanthropic contributions to HSS, ensuring accurate entry of gift and donor information in Raiser's Edge 7/NXT and Luminate Online
  • Generating acknowledgement letters and tax receipts for contributions. Coordinate the review, approval, and mailing of acknowledgement letters and other donor communications as needed.
  • Support management and maintenance of data for digital communications and solicitations for BIKE HSS, including data cleaning, data imports, suppression list maintenance, and unsubscribe requests.
  • Overall maintenance and management of prospect and donor demographic data (names, contact information, employment, relationships)
  • Provide customer service to donors and Development team members, responding to and processing requests for data updates, gift refunds, reporting, and giving instructions.
  • Maintain documentation of processes and protocols related to job functions
  • Maintain efficient and comprehensive files (paper and electronic) for all donors, gifts, supporting documentation, and acknowledgments.
  • Complete database projects and other operations projects as assigned.
  • Consistently meet established expectations set by Development Operations on an on-going basis while maintaining high levels of customer service and accuracy.
  • Participate in training and informational sessions on best practices for constituent record and gift management procedures.
EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES, AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
  • One to three years' experience with processing database records. Raiser's Edge, Luminate Online, TeamRaiser, and Omatic experience highly desirable.
  • Experience and comfort managing and working with high record counts and processing larger volumes of contributions within short time frames.
  • Well organized, meticulous, and resourceful self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Technologically savvy. Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and comfortable working in database systems.
  • Requires a curiosity and investigative nature to correctly identify and source contact information from paid and non-paid sources.
  • Fast and accurate keyboarding skills
  • Ability to learn complex data entry codes and procedures quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills; success at cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders and creating partnerships.

  • A confident and committed individual, with the drive and energy to respond to the demands of the institution and work collaboratively to achieve results.

EDUCATION:
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
