POSITION SUMMARYThe Development Operations Manager will serve as our database administrator and Blackbaud Raiser's Edge subject matter expert. In addition, this person will play a key role in the development and ongoing management of team systems and operations, including strategic planning, goal-setting, and progress to goal tracking and reporting. The ideal candidate will be a skilled project manager, highly organized and attentive to detail. The Development Operations Manager is motivated by the critical role of support work as a driving force behind collective team impact, is solutions-oriented, and takes pride in efficiency of systems to support and strengthen the team's work as a whole. To achieve this purpose, the Development Operations Manager will collaborate closely with members of the Development, Finance, and Regional teams. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performance Tracking Metrics and Reporting (40%) •Produce financial reporting on a regular basis tracking fundraising progress to goal •Produce financial reports on a weekly basis tracking cash, pledges and pledge payments for reconciliation with finance •Compile data and run systems to provide monthly agency-wide reporting•Build and maintain dashboards to track donor giving, and other appropriate metricsDatabase Management (35%) •Build and maintain analytical reports, queries, and exports•Develop protocols for administration and use of Raiser's Edge coding system•Maintain the overall integrity and quality of the Raiser's Edge donor database and management of code values, business rules, and other functions•Optimize database usage across the organization by staying current on upcoming enhancements to functionality and guiding staff in the appropriate use of existing functionality•Provide database support and training for staff•Provide general data maintenance, gift processing and data entry as needed •Pull donor information from database to support email campaigns, mailings and other correspondence•Serve as the primary liaison with the Finance team on compliance and reconciliation of gifts and pledges •Help lead a database conversion from Blackbaud ETapestry to Raiser's Edge in 2025 quarter one Project Management and Strategic Operations (20%) •Support Development team in onboarding of new staff in partnership with hiring manager•Support the tracking and processing of financial wires and stock contributions •Produce giving links through Blackbaud for online giving and digital giving campaigns •Provide reports and backup to Finance team for annual audit •Work with donor advised fund automated systems to monitor and receive gifts •Updates financial filings and materials, i.e. W-9s and other documents•Coordinates Development team office operations, including team meetings, incoming emails, correspondence and calls directed to the Department•Support the Chief Development Officer in managing the Development department's budget and expense trackingOther (5%) •Attend staff meetings and trainings as required•Perform special projects and other duties as assigned RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 4-5 years' experience working with a CRM database, experience with Raiser's Edge or Salesforce strongly preferred
  • Experience with database reporting and analysis
  • Experience working in a fundraising department
  • Exceptional analytical, project-management and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, highly efficient, strong attention to details
  • Team player and a passion to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to plan and organize effectively to meet deadlines and achieve goals.

Location: This position will be in-person a minimum of two days per week, in our STRIVE NYC office.
