Requires Passing aNon-DOT Regulated Instant and Lab Drug Test NOT a Remote Position -Requires employee to be in office PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To act as the technicalexpert and resource for the line management team on safety systems application.To manage the safety system to ensure a healthy and safeworking environmentfor all site workers. To provide information, analysis and systems to assist indeveloping a safe and competent workforce. Ensure that all activitiesat the site operate within safety, security and environmental policies andregulations, to protect the assets and employees of the company and ourcustomers. SAFETY AND SUSTAINABILITYEXPECTATIONS Comply with legalobligations, VW Connect Safety policies and procedures. Practice and promoteCourageous and Visible Felt Leadership. Spend 90% of time developingand implementing training with supervisors and employees. 10% Developing andrefining Safety skills in the field. Cooperate with supervisors,coordinators and managers on management of Safety issues. Intervene, as necessary, toensure the health and safety of all employees in the workplace, to protect theenvironment, and to protect VW Connect assets. KEY AREAS OFACCOUNTABILITY/ RESULTS & ASSOCIATED DUTIES Key Area: Provide clear objectivesand expectations to ensure compliance to all governing regulations (i.e. OSHA). Ensure the compliancetraining plan is in place and standard operating procedures are developed andfollowed to achieve planned production, while meeting planned costs. Identify strengths andopportunities for training and development and ensure annual training plans aredeveloped. Assist in developing andpromoting safety leadership throughout the organization to ensure coaching,mentoring, and fostering of courageous leadership. Working Experience –Nature & Length Minimum of 3 to 5 years ofexperience in safety and health or training fields.
