Up to $36/hr depending on experience

Manager, Philanthropic Giving

3+ month contract

Must Haves:

*3+ years of experience in development, fundraising, or similar fields with a focus on administrative or operational support.

*Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

*Familiarity with CRM databases (such as Raiser's Edge).

*Ability to manage and track donor communications, schedules, and relationship management activities.

Preferred Skills:

*Bachelor's degree

*Experience in high-net-worth donor engagement or philanthropic giving.

*Knowledge of planned giving programs, estate administration, and donor stewardship.

*Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate and execute plans efficiently.

*Experience in working with external vendors, including managing vendor relationships and communications.

The Manager, Philanthropic Giving will provide vital support to the Philanthropic Giving team, assisting with the management of high-net-worth donor portfolios, stewardship, and donor communications. This role will involve project management, maintaining donor records, drafting correspondence, and coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the smooth execution of donor engagement activities. The position will also assist with planned giving marketing, program administration, and reporting. Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President, Philanthropic Giving, the Manager will play a critical role in donor relations and support strategic fundraising initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Assistant Vice President (AVP) to implement strategies for high-net-worth donors, contributing to critical revenue generation.

  • Maintain and update donor database, tracking communications, relationship management, and stewardship reporting.
  • Draft donor correspondence, including targeted and general communications.
  • Manage external vendor relationships for planned giving communications and marketing.
  • Assist with the administration of the planned giving program, including estate management and annual filings.
  • Coordinate internal teams across Institutional Advancement (IA) for drafting proposals, reports, and budget approvals.
  • Assist with preparation of materials and briefings for donor meetings, ensuring strategic alignment and communication.
  • Support the AVP in monitoring donor objectives and ensuring adherence to stewardship timelines and requirements.
  • Manage information flows between donors, prospects, staff, and fundraisers.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams to support donor engagement and fundraising initiatives.
  • Assist with special projects as needed and take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the Office of Institutional Advancement's goals.
