Developmental Specialist (Early Intervention)DescriptionThe Developmental Specialist provides specialized instruction and parental coaching for families who have children who are eligible for Early Intervention (EI) services. The Developmental Specialist performs developmental evaluations and assessments for children referred to and enrolled in Ohio Early Intervention. This position will also include getting the PLAY Project Consultant certification and providing play-based programming for eligible children.ResponsibilitiesAdministering developmental evaluations to all children.Scoring and interpreting the results of all developmental evaluations and assessments in a manner that can be understood by parents, caregivers, and other professionals.Maintaining up-to-date and accurate documentation for each child enrolled.Attending continuing education trainings, seminars, staff meetings, conferences, and professional growth activities.QualificationsCompletion of Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.Certified as a Developmental Specialist by the DODD or eligible to acquire certification per DODD rule.Six-to-twelve-month experience working with infants, babies, and toddlers with developmental disabilities preferred.Excellent computer literacy and data entry skills as well as communication skills.Ability to act in a professional manner in families' homes, in work-related meetings, and in public.ContactsSUBMIT A LETTER OF INTEREST AND CURRENT RESUME TO:Pioneer Center | Ross County Board of Developmental Disabilities#J-18808-Ljbffr
