Job Type Full-time Description We are seeking a dedicated and highly qualified Developmental Testing Specialist to join our team. This professional will be proficient in developmental and standardized testing, possess deep knowledge of child development, and hold a relevant degree in Early Childhood Special Education or is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct developmental assessments using a variety of standardized tools to evaluate areas such as cognitive skills, motor development, language comprehension, and social-emotional functioning in children.
- Accurately interpret test results to identify developmental milestones.
- Create detailed reports summarizing assessment results and provide recommendations for intervention or further evaluation, as needed.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on assessment outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of standardized testing tools, administration procedures, scoring protocols, and interpretation guidelines.
- Stay informed on current research and best practices in child development, developmental testing, and related areas.
- Support children and their families in accessing resources and services aimed at developmental improvement or therapy.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
Requirements
- Educational Background: Early Childhood Special Education or Speech-Language Pathology.
- Developmental Testing Expertise: Demonstrated experience in administering and interpreting standardized assessments focused on early childhood development.
- Child Development Knowledge: In-depth understanding of typical child development milestones and the ability to identify deviations or potential delays.
- Standardized Testing Proficiency: Familiarity with commonly used standardized tools, including administration and scoring protocols.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to communicate findings effectively to parents, educators, and other team members in a clear and empathetic manner.
- Collaboration: Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to support child development goals.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in record-keeping, reporting, and relevant software tools used in developmental assessment.
