Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our microservices-based architecture on AWS. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of financial markets, modern DevOps practices, and experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Additionally, the role requires expertise in creating and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems using Datadog.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure AWS-based infrastructure for microservices architecture.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable deployment of applications.
- Implement best practices for version control, automated testing, and deployment workflows.
Monitoring and Reliability
- Build and maintain robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using Datadog to ensure high system availability.
- Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and reliability issues in a production environment.
- Participate in on-call rotations to troubleshoot and resolve incidents promptly.
Performance and Scalability
- Work closely with development teams to implement best practices for high-performance and scalable microservices.
- Conduct regular performance tuning and capacity planning exercises.
Collaboration and Culture
- Act as a bridge between development, QA, and operations teams to promote a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility.
- Provide mentorship and training to team members on DevOps and reliability engineering practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related roles.
- Proficient in AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Expertise in monitoring tools, with a focus on Datadog, including custom metric creation, dashboards, and alerting.
