Please review the job information below.GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOBThis position provides support for the coordination, training, and curriculum development for the staff of DCHP for all operational areas. This position ensures that all staff are appropriately trained to effectively perform their jobs and fulfills all State requirements for training. This position also serves as an Epic Credentialed trainer for training DCHP employees for Epic implementations, upgrades and modifications. The Training Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating aspects of planning, design, development, training delivery, implementation, communication, maintenance and evaluation of new functionality related to operational training and system training for Health Plan employees.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Positions in this class may perform any or all of the below listed duties. These should be interpreted as examples of the work, and are not necessarily all-inclusive.This employee will coordinate Health Plan training, including Operational training and serve in the role of Health Plan Epic Credentialed Trainer.Job requirements will include:Trainer will achieve Epic Credentialed Trainer status and participate in training delivery for all DHP Epic implementations and upgrades.Assists departments with developing training materials to address operational training needs, system implementation and upgrade needsResponsible for training delivery, scheduling of training and content of all DHP training mechanisms.Training Coordinator shall ensure that DHP quality standards are met within training materials and class content.Coordinator shall work with appropriate content Subject Matter Expert to ensure that all training materials meet required departmental needs.Responsible for the development of training agendas.Training Coordinator shall work with departments to identify the roles and duties of the required attendees and work to coordinate a schedule that facilitates delivery of training needs.Responsible for the development of other training-related materials including but not limited to methods of recording training and check off list, evaluation and training tests.Responsible for tracking and trending successful completion of training deliveries, with reports to be available departmental director and executive leadership.Coordinates and schedules appropriate staff for training to include, but not limited to the following: 1) Policies and procedures, 2) Health Plan Assessments, 3) InterQual criteria, in collaboration with other team members, 4) UM/concurrent review, in collaboration with other team members, 5) Job responsibilities as developed with department directors and Executive Leadership, 6) Development of training materials related to UMCC contractual requirements, 7) Oversight of any training related to company-wide regarding information about all programs in Driscoll Children's Health PlanWork with internal and external resources (e.g. Del Mar College) to coordinate training.Works with Human Resources regarding Health Plan new employee training, if necessary.Works as facilitator for DCHP New-hire onboardingCollaborates with other DHP managers and directors to develop operational training content.Works with the Administrative Assistant to coordinate location, catering, presentation material, audio-visual support and notification of training sessions.Participates in Health Plan performance improvement activities.Participates in Health Plan committees as appropriate and on request.Oversight of DHP Training SharePoint to ensure includes current training documents.Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE- Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying.A minimum of a degree in education preferably an emphasis on adult education or similar/equivalent training and experience is required.Minimum 2 years of experience in development of training curriculum preferredMinimum 2 years of experience in adult education preferredMinimum 2 years of experience with Health Plan preferredPrevious experience in a managed care environment preferredKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIESKnowledge in Texas Medicaid criteria/guidelines preferred.Knowledge about managed care contracts/guidelines preferred.Knowledge of programs and services required to support the health and medical needs of disabled children preferred.Knowledge of various reimbursement mechanisms, including third party requirements preferred.Knowledge of various utilization criteria sets (e.g. InterQual) preferred.Microsoft Office skills preferred.Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.Maintains compliance with regulatory agencies that conduct intermittent reviews and audits to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance with Federal, State entities as well URAC.Implements and adheres to Health System and Health Plan policies and procedures for members with special health care needs.Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to Corporate Compliance and integrity guidelines.
