Diagnostic Radiologist
We are seeking a dedicated Diagnostic Radiologist to join our MRI Department at a premier health center located in the scenic Geneva, NY, in the Finger Lakes region. Compensation: $470,000.00 - $570,000.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic imaging services, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and basic NM.
- Interpret and report on medical images, communicating findings to referring physicians.
- Participate in patient management, offering radiological expertise to medical teams.
- Work collaboratively within a team to improve service quality and efficiency.
- Maintain strict compliance with departmental protocols, safety standards, and procedures.
- Participate in after-hours calls from home on rotation, providing preliminary reads and emergency consultations.
- Contribute to continuing education, professional development, and research activities within the radiology department.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- MD/DO with Board Certification or Eligibility in Radiology.
- License to practice in New York State or ability to obtain licensure.
- Proficiency in interpreting various radiologic modalities including X-ray, CT scans, MRI, and ultrasound.
- Commitment to continual learning and application of the latest radiological procedures and techniques.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a healthcare team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in mammography is highly preferred for on-site roles.
- Proven track record in a similar role within a hospital or large health center.
- Experience with remote radiological assessments and diagnostics.
- Active participation in relevant professional bodies and continuous professional development.
- Familiarity with health information technologies and radiology information systems.
Skills:
- Technical proficiency in using radiological imaging equipment and software.
- Strong diagnostic skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a high-pressure environment.
