Be a part of a world-class academic health-care system at UChicago Medicine as a Dialysis Technician II (PRN) in the Dialysis Department.
Under the supervision of a dialysis RN, initiates, monitors, and terminates dialysis therapies which include HD (Hemodialysis), PD (Peritoneal Dialysis) or CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy). Interacts with patients on a professional level. Utilizes critical thinking skills during the dialysis treatment. Assumes responsibility for performing the safety checks, basic trouble shooting, routine daily maintenance and sanitization of the dialysis machines. All documentation is done on a computer.
