Profession: Die Cutter Operator Onsite | Peachtree City, GA, US Permanent | Manufacturing / Mechanical Operates Die Cutter Machine to develop end-result printed material in accordance with customer specifications: • Operate Die Cutter machine, troubleshoot and monitor operation. • Prepares Die Cutter by performing a variety of tasks to produce a consistent, high quality product by adjusting the die and register for pressure and cutting. • Perform a variety of make ready tasks for high productivity and precision operations, resolves defects and adjustments to produce high quality product. • Oversee General technicians working on equipment. • Make adjustments, clear jams, while processing product, maintaining speed and quality. • Ensure efficient and rapid make ready, with unloading and loading. QUALITY: Ensure quality of jobs completed by reviewing for quality and accuracy. Makes sure jobs are complete and error free. • Ensures finished product exceeds customer expectations. • Ensure all checklists are completed. • Support and communicate all ISO standards and quality objectives. • Complies with cGMP, HACCP Food Safety Requirements and Chain of Custody Program Requirements. SAFETY: Ensures complete adherence and compliance to the OHSE policies. Assists team members in maintaining clean and safe environment. • Maintains and follows all company policies and procedures for safety, personal protection and hazard materials/waste handling according to established guidelines. • Follows all personal protection procedures by use of appropriate PPE at all times. • Follows established procedures and guidelines for the handling and disposal of all hazardous materials/waste. • Maintains and wears proper uniform according to company policy. • Use Company provided safety lifting equipment, i.e., hoist, jacks, vacuum manipulators, etc. • Properly stores and arranges work area to maintain cleanliness and safe environment following all safety rules and regulations for grounding, storage, spill clean-up, etc. COMMUNICATIONS: Interacts with the team and co-workers in a way that promotes respect, encourages cooperation and contributes to excellent performance • Communicates accurate information to all team members in a professional and courteous manner that conveys a willingness to assist. • Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately. REQUIREMENTS: • High School diploma (or GED). • Minimum of 3 years of Die Cutting experience in the folding carton industry • Must have experience with die cutters that have blanking capability • Must have interpersonal and communication skills. • Must possess basic computer skills and mathematical skills necessary to compute percentages, weights and measures. • Must be able to perform any and all work or additional tasks as required or requested by Department Leads, Shift Leads, or Management. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • This position requires prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending and/or reaching, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, hearing and speaking. • Frequent lifting in excess of 60 lbs is required. • Must be able to hold, touch, feel and manipulate with hands product and equipment in a safe manner. Manual dexterity is required. • Use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus as well as good eye-hand coordination. • Must be able to rotate shifts and be available to work in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when necessary to meet customer product needs.
